In the beginning of this month, we reported about sapphire intentions to present the radeon HD 4890 version with 2 Gb GDDR- 5 memory and the cooling systems Vapor- X. However, the official announcement of this product took place only yesterday, and the photographs of this video card appeared on sapphire site only in the last Monday.
Like predecessor with 1 Gb memory, the new radeon HD 4890 version from Sapphire has a new printed-circuit board design. The power system is built on the qualitative element base, which allow to reduce operating temperatures and increase longevity.  The default video card frequencies are equal to 870/4200 MHz, the GDDR5 memory capacity is equal to 2 Gb, the memory bus is 256 bits. The cooling system Vapor- X uses vaporizing chamber technology . On the rear panel, it is possible to reveal DVI, D -Sub, HDMI and DisplayPort ports.  The recommended sapphire radeon HD 4890 Vapor- X retail price in the version with 2 Gb GDDR- 5 memory is equal to $300, this approximately $40 more expensive than analogous video card with 1 Gb memory.
