Adequate information about the announcement periods , names and prices of video card series radeon HD 58xx appeared only recently. The references about the memory capacity, equal to 1 GB, allowed to assume that the information about the presence in video card on base of RV870 chip of the memory bus equal to 384 bits was not confirmed. Most likely, this chip uses the previous 256- bit bus, and increase in the performance are achieved due to an increase in the clock frequency and the quantity of stream processors. The technology eyefinity will allow one video card to simultaneously derive image to three monitors. Standard video card in this series will be equipped with the combinations of ports DVI + DVI + displayPort or WITH DVI + HDMI + displayPort. In the second place, video card series radeon HD 58xx are ready to ensure the speed of more than two teraflops (trillions of operations with floating point per second). Radeon HD 4870 ensured the speed at the level of 1,2 teraflops, Radeon HD 4850 - 1 teraflops. Accordingly, some video card series radeon HD 58xx will be two times faster than Radeon HD 4850. This was possible by two methods: after increasing the core frequency to approximately 900 MHz and the number of stream processors to 1200 pieces, or after preserving the core frequency at the level 625-650 MHz and after increasing the quantity of stream processors to 1600 pieces.
