The official announcement of new video card radeon HD 4860 on base of RV790 in China, took place at the end of the past week. Important producers already had time to declare about the production of the new accelerators models . The chip RV790 is used in radeon HD 4890 video card, which is sold in retail for about 240$. The Model 4860 is positioned as budget solution and cost about 120$. AMD introduced some limitations to this chip the quantity of stream processor was reduced from 800 to 640, textural blocks from 40 to 32, graphic processor and memory (GDDR5) frequency are reduced. In addition, the memory volume is reduced from 1024 MB to 512.  Taking in account the price range, this card is called to compose competition to NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250.  This card is from PowerColor and Jingtai (Chinese brand XFX). They are characterized by cooling system, design and quantity of power connector. Related Products : | ||
