Firefox bug
THE FREE browser Firefox seems to be able to teach Microsoft a lesson or two when it comes to fixing bugs.
This weel it has rushed out a the release of an upgrade so that it could deal with a security bug which had been spotted earlier this week.
This is all the more surprising as the Mozzarella Foundation had only just released version 1.5.0.2 quite recently.
If it were Internet Exploder, customers would have to wait until at least patch Tuesday. Some security bugs have been waiting for months for Vole to fix.
The move has slightly buggered up the release dates and numbers that were planned for Firebadger. Version 1.8.0.3/1.5.0.3 is slightly smaller than the version that was planned. What was previously called 1.8.0.3 will shift to 1.8.0.4. 1.8.0.4, but it is better to be safe than in the right order.
