Though preliminary data about characteristics of videocards on the basis of chips RV570 and RV560 that we have already published, the majority of readers vaguely imagined a difference between chips RV570 and RV560, besides the word length of the memory bus . The Inquirer which has confirmed, that the difference between RV570XL and RV560 will consist in the bus length, clock frequencies and quantity of layers textolite that are printed in the circuit-board, and the number pepline for both chips will be equal to twelve. Certainly, last statement confused a little, because RV560 should be positioned in more accessible price niche where presence the of twelve pipelines did not become normal rate. is this Really progress in budget card ?? After consultations of the informed sources we managed to find out, that chip RV560 will have only eight pipleine, chip RV570 it will be valid to have twelve pepeline. and this it not the only diffrence between the cards. they will have different design and different memory bus width .The 256mb/s for RV570 and 128 mb/s for RV560. Quite probably, that there will be also other differences. Certainly, the performance level is not defined exclusively by number pipeline, but now we can understand, that RV570 and RV560 are different products for different price niches, and the relationship of symbols should not mislead. | ||
