in February this year processors Celeron D 3xx Socket 478 have passed to the most progressive stepening 0.09 microns core Prescott, designated by symbols "G1". Migration has has taken place , and even the cheapest processor Celeron D 310 with frequency of 2.13 GHz was accessible in the G1 version .
the situation sharply varies. Intel now makes more 0.065 microns processors, than 0.09 microns processors, by the end of this year the company is going to remove 0.09 microns version of Celeron D from manufacture, and in general by the end of next year it will stop the manufacture of all one-core processors with NetBurst architecture .
first steps in this direction are already made. Two days ago company Intel has announced the removal of 0.09 microns processors Celeron D 310 (2.13 GHz), Celeron D 345 (3.06 GHz) and Celeron D 350 (3.2 GHz) Socket 478.Intel Price-list can evidently display the occuring reductions in price
Apparently, processors Celeron D 330 (2.66 GHz), Celeron D 335 (2.8 GHz) and Celeron D 340 (2.93 GHz) will catch up later.
Following models will be removed{be taken off} from manufacture:
* Celeron D 350 (3.2 GHz)-> SL8HQ (G1), SL7NY (E0);
* Celeron D 345 (3.06 GHz)-> SL8HP (G1), SL7NX (E0);
* Celeron D 315 (3.1 GHz)-> SL8S2 (G1), SL93R (G1), SL8RZ (G1).
Orders for their delivery are accepted untill November, 3rd, 2006. Last party of those boxed processors models will be shipped on February, 3rd, 2007, for processors in tray- last delivery is planned for June, 29th, 2007. B
