our well informed sources confirms that AMD's quad core Athlon 64 X2 successor is on schedule. As we reported before, this CPU is slated for early 2007 and if all goes well we should be able to get it in early Q1 2007.
The new K8-L cpu has no significant problems and obstacles at design level and there is no reason to let it delayed till 2008. amd plan to fight the conroe with this new K8 dual.considering that intel conroe will be very soon availble and it is already beatting the FX-62 (2800 MHz 2 * 1mb ) in all benchmark and test
so amd need to harry up with their future core.as said in our previews news amd planning the 4x4 platform to be compatible with current am2 setup, and considering the previews cause the k8l quad core will get in definitely earlier before 2008
