ati will not completely give up on the AGP market. It will not release a top end video card , but it will continue to support this community with middle and low end range. It's pretty easy to make a PCB with Rialto bridge to add support from PCIe chip to an AGP.
ATI will make a new graphic board design codenamed Torpedo 2. The card is based on the RV560 chip, will be built at UMC,with a core clock of 450MHz and memory clock oft 650MHz .the memory interface is128 bit . the card will come with 256MB of GDDR 3 memory comes in a BGA package using 16Mx32 chips that are capable of 700MHz performance. The card will supports ATX and BTX .
Torpedo 2 new graphic will supports Dual DVI ports and tomes in slim VGA format.and Of course it will supports VIVO features" video in / out ". The design would be done in October this year. this card should be the fastest ever agp based video card.
