During the the announcement day  Of the geForce 7900 GS ,all overclocker have the flowingw question :is it possible to unlock the desabled 7900gs pipeline " pixel shader and vertex unit " and get a fully working 7900gt . After taking a standard video card  geForce 7900 GT and GeForce 7900 GS, we started to study differences. Some elements on the printed-circuit boards  wereactually  distinguished, but the only one witch drew attention was the resistor just after the video  chip: Two previous attempts to unlock those pipe by the bios  from GeForce 7900 GT, even with the correction of timing, did not lead to  success. Only transplantation of resistor from the left position into the right (see photo) make it possible to change the identification of  this video card from GeForce 7900 GS to GeForce 7900 GT/OR GTO. pipeline still as before blocked: After using the mask command from nVFlash program  , the following command line: Now the geForce 7900 GS  is not reconaized by system, it cannot be even hot flashed using another card! lets hope that solution will show up soon   Related Products :

	12-9-07 It\'s true, at least for now anyways. I have been looking this topic up everywhere and what I read above is the farthest anyone gets.
