To test the performances of GeForce 7600 GS ,MSI GT AGP  and Leadtek we had used  the following configuration: * Motherboard MSI K8N Neo 2, * AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Socket 939, * 2x512 mb Corsair TwinX PC3200 XL, * Hard disk Western DIGITAL Raptor 36 GIG Serial-ATA 150   Functioning under Windows XP Professionnel Service Pack 2, the system used the last BIOS and driver available in the date of  test,  ForceWare 91.33.To test the EN7600GT PCI-Express from Asus, and here is the agp based system to test the GeForce 7600 GT AGP,   * Motherboard Asus A8n-sli Deluxe, * AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Socket 939, * 2x512 Mo Corsair TwinX PC3200 XL, * Hard disk Western DIGITAL Raptor 36 GIG Serial-ATA 150   There still we use the ForceWare 91.33.In our benchmark we will  compare the GeForce 7600 GT PCI-Express  from Asus with model AGP from Leadtek while checking the performances variation  with GeForce 7600 GS.Of course we will not stop here we used also :GeForce 6600 GT, GeForce 6800 GS, GeForce 6800 GT and GeForce 7800 GS AGP. the AGP offer from ATI  being limited to only Radeon X1600 Pro let us include to this comparative where it was tested with the CATALYST 6.7.   3DMark 06 we starts this meeting of tests with 3DMark 06.Here GeForce 7600 GT are The leader and the difference between the version PCI-Express  and its counterpart AGP is null.. note that GeForce 7600 GT is at the head of the 7800gs.The card from MSI,  GeForce 7600 GS show  here better performances  than the GeForce 6600 GT and 6800 GS. The GeForce 6600 GT is the wrost performer here.The GeForce 7600 GT is 44% faster than its  little brother GeForce 7600 GS. Half-Life 2 Lost Coast Splinter Cell Chaos Theory Quake 4 - v1.2 These three game give all victory to the GeForce 7600  GT .Quake 4 seems to be most receptive with the bus PCI-Express bus.Thus in 1600x1200  Asus card is 2% faster than the  Leadtek!the GeForce 6800 GT posts beautiful score whereas The GeForce 7600 GS finishes in front of GeForce 6600 GT and also in front of the GeForce 6800 GS.Only exception was:Half-Life 2 Lost Coast where GeForce 7600 GS does better than the model 6800 GS.Under Splinter Cell Chaos Theory the GeForce 7600 GT AGP from Leadtek is 56% more powerful than the MSI card. The latter, based on the GeForce 7600 GS posts a play performances of 11% higher than the GeForce 6600 GT. F.E.A.R. v1.05 For F.E.A.R.the GeForce 7600 GT always preserve the first position.And here the alternative PCI-Express   GeForce 7600 GT shows 4,5% of speed boost over the AGP model .  in 1600x1200 the profit of 4,5% corresponds to only  one FPS " frame per seconde "…Once again the GeForce 7600 GT beats the GeForce 7800 GS, whereas the card from Leadtek shows 53% speed boost over the GeForce 7600 GS..It  is noted that the Radeon X1600 Pro show poor performance with average speed higher than the 6600GT but lower than all other cards Far Cry v1.33 Doom 3 F.E.A.R. showed us that the  PCI-Express bus  could somewhat favorably exploit in the performances of our graphics card and Far Cry confirms it to us.Here the model PCI-Express  is  6% faster than the AGP version . Version AGP of GeForce 7600 GT  makes  equal play for FarCry with GeForce 7800 GS whereas its advantage over the model 7600 GS is always also impressive with higher performances of 44%.Doom 3  gives  the preference to GeForce GT WP than to the 7800 GS whereas in this case, the  PCI-Express bus dont  seems to impacat the card performance.The GeForce 7600 GT confirm once again  its advantage with Doom 3 over the GeForce 7600 GS whereas the Radeon X1600 Pro AGP still have closes   performance. Doom 3 - FSAA 4x Half-Life 2 Lost Coast - FSAA 4x & AF 8x The activation of filtering functions   under these two game give us a surprise since the FSAA 4x allows the GeForce 6800 GT to pass to the head but only under Doom 3!the GeForce 7600 GT remain the fastest chips but the variation with the 7800 GS tends  to be reduced, particularly under Half-Life 2 where the diference is about 4%.Doom 3  shown always to be sensive with the  PCI-Express bus, whereas Half-Life 2 shows a light profit for the  Asus card vs the leadtek agp model .If under Doom 3 GeForce 6800 GS does better than GeForce 7600 GS, this situation was reversed under Half-Life 2.GeForce 7600 GT AGP is 52% faster than GeForce 7600 GS which  is twice faster   than the GeForce 6600 GT. Overclocking Leadtek WinFast A7600GT TDH AGP - OC Side overclocking, our  AGP card have showed good result.  particularly  for the GeForce 7600 GS from MSI which give nice boost from its  default of 400 MHz  to reach the 525 MHz and this was without change of  voltage or the cooling system  .The 256 MB  memory was set to 450 MHz.With such  overclocking the performances increase by 19% in Doom 3: witch pretty good.Side Leadtek, the chip was already at 560 MHz, the increase in frequency was a lot lower   . 600 MHz for the GPU and the 775 MHz for the memory, memory has 700 MHz as default.Disappointment on the other hand for the asus card with graphics chip witch refuse to exceed  580 MHz! Conclusion Box Leadtek WinFast A7600GT TDH the GeForce 7600 GT from Leadtek signs  beautiful service.Not only the card does better than the GeForce 6800 GT, a reference on the matter, but it close or better  to the performance of the 7800 GS.On paper GeForce 7800 GS  have several advantages over the GeForce 7600 GT  in particular the memory bandwidth , thanks to its  256 bits bus, and a greater number of pixels pipelines (16 against 12).the Only deference here is the chip  frequency where in the case of GeForce 7600 GT is quite higher than GeForce 7800 GS:560 MHz against 375 MHz!the 7600gt from Leadtek has average price of 200 euros, although this is a bit high, but the card is somehow faster  than that  GeForce 7800 GS  cost generally  in the 290 eurosrange .   GeForce 7600 GS AGP is posted like more modest, at least compared to its big brother GeForce 7600 GT.But to believe that the GeForce 7600 GS is not interesting would be wrong since this one offers  performances higher than the GeForce 6600 GT.Remain that its price seems to us too  high:with nearly 160 euros we will prefer  without hesitating the GeForce 6600 WP AGP which is negotiated today in the 100 euros.GeForce 7600 GS affer higher performance vs the 6600 GT in addition to the doubled memory quantity    .Antialiasing with  256 MB of memory do not justify  such  price difference .Of course the amateurs of overclocking could  find  interest in GeForce 7600 GS…   In the another hand, comparison AGP vs PCI-Express  make  result that the EN7600 GT HTDI from Asus   is in general in front of the Leadtek AGP model  , and some time it get a short head . it is Impossible thus to write that today the higher bandwidth witch offer the  PCI-Express bus is fully  exploited by  games.!       xtreview is your : Video card - cpu - memory - Hard drive - power supply unit source we would be happy to answer for your question . if you have suggestion or comment regarding this review our support would be glad to help just join our forum and ask u will get the best answer to discuss check our forum section :-) RATE THIS REVIEW 1 2 3 4 5    / 5   View Stat
