NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT:
Since
we talked about the specification of the architecture GeForce 7 during previous
articles, we will not reconsider here the functionalities suggested by the last
graphics chips of NVIDIA. Most important to retain is that those card are compatible
DirectX 9.0c and support Shader Model 3.0. Concerning the GeForce 7300 GT it is not based on the G72 chip, but on G73
. The nuance is relatively important, because G72 which traditionally
equips GeForce 7300 GS is provided only with four pixels pipelines whereas the
version GT have a greater number . it is quite normal that manuficulter did not
equip their GeForce 7300 GT with the same number of pipes as GeForce 7600 GT,
to not kill one of the two products. The GeForce 7300 GS counts four
pixels pipelines and the GeForce 7600 GT have twelve of them, the
GeForce 7300 GT counts have eight.
GeForce 7300 was made in 90 Nm, with a little more than 177
million transistors and has the interface memory of 128 bits. u have the choise between the DDR2 , less expensive, or DDR3 for a
little more . Side frequencies, NVIDIA recommends 350 MHz for the GPU
and 333 MHz for .the memory band-width is such case should be
little more than 10 GIG/s . the card also Support SLI.
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS:
With
GeForce 7600 GS, NVIDIA propose primarily a version as a reduced GeForce 7600 GT.
based on the G73 chip, GeForce 7600 GS has the same number of pixels
pipelines as its big brother, the card is also made in 90 Nm. Let us note that
these characteristics are higher than those of GeForce 6600 GT, old reference

can difere from one manufacturer to other, from (256 MB)
to (512 MB). In all cases the memory bus remains
on 128 bits interface.

256 MB of video memory, the card use DDR2 chips from Hynix, chips
are certified with 2,5 NS and work at 333 MHz. Considering the certification
of 2,5 NS, the memory chips should easily reach the 400 MHz . The graphics chip operates according to
NVIDIA reference with the frequency of 350 MHz. . Side
cooling, the chip is surmounted by an aluminum cooler provided with a
fan .

Since Asus somehow
preoverclock its GeForce 7600 GS, we need another GeForce 7600 GS
as a reference. And rather than to change the frequencies of our Asus card, we
preferred to benefit from GeForce 7600 GS from
Point View. We have here a completely quiet graphics card,but with the difference to Asus the cooling system
is more than modest. the same for this GeForce 7600 GS from Point View it has a connector SLI
and does not require any additional power .
Point View conforms
the NVIDIA reference with 400 MHz in the graphics chip and 400 MHz for
the video memory. Accompanied with 256 Mb of memory, the card uses components
DDR2 signed Hynix and certified to 2,5 NS. for
bundle, the card is accompanied, with book, driver CD , an adapter
DVI/VGA, a composite cable, an adapter YUV, as well as cable transforming the

test was done under Windows XP
Professionnel Service Pack 2 and used WHQL ForceWare 91.31 .
For this test we will compare GeForce 7300 gt and 7600 GS with GeForce 7300 GS,
GeForce 7600 gt and also the good old GeForce 6600 gt. We will oppose these card to the
Radeon X1600 XT from ATI, tested with CATALYST 6.6. With graphics chip of low entry range, resolution of
test was limited: 800x600, 1024x768 then 1280x1024
by excluding the 1600x1200.
3DMark 06 7300gs/gt vs 7600gs/gt vs x1600xt
we start this test with the performance of our card under 3DMark 06. First report, GeForce 7600 GT is the leader , whereas GeForce 7600 GS from Asus finishes second. overclocked by the
manufacturer it this last posts performances boost of 26% higher than GeForce 7600 GS from Point
View. This relatively important boost,the Radeon X1600 XT performance is between the two card. according to 3DMark 06,
the GeForce 7600 GS from Point View is 17% faster than the GeForce 6600
GT. GeForce 7300 GT for its part precedes logically the model 7300 GS, without
matching the 6600 gt performance. GeForce 7300 gt vs the version gs are
faster by 80% in 1280x1024!
Doom 3 - v1.3 7300gs/gt vs 7600gs/gt vs x1600xt

Compared with the standard 7600 GS, the 7600 GT is faster by 57%. The model from
Asus, which has the advantage higher clock frequency, makes it possible to
catch back with only 23% performance lost. the native default frequency, of the GeForce 7600
GS, represented here by point view, makes about the same performance as the GeForce 6600 gt.the
Radeon X1600 XT performance are poor on the level of the GeForce 7300 GT, this
last being almost twice faster than the GeForce 7300 GS.
Half-Life 2 - Lost Coast performance

confirms without surprise the good performance of the GeForce 7600 GS which are
classified second and third, after the GeForce 7600 GT. the model
from Asus has a significant advantage in term of performances over the Point View card, and here thanks to its higher frequencies . note that the
variation between the 7600 GS from Asus and the 7600 GT tends to be
reduced switching the resolution to 1600x1200 will give the lead for asus 7600gs. Our Radeon X1600 XT
finishes in fifth position, in front of GeForce 7300, .
.the GeForce 7300 GT vs the gs model offer a some performances : in the preceding tests the GeForce 7300
GT from eVGA was practically twice faster than our GeForce 7300 GS from MSI, its
advantage is lower here about 28% in Half-Life 2.
Far Cry v1.33 7300gs/gt vs 7600gs/gt vs x1600xt
Note
we have not activated the HDR effects in this test. The first
place returns to the GeForce 7600 GT, this one was followed by the GeForce 7600 GS from Asus. again here Asus preserves a considerable advantage over the Point View 7600gs version, whereas the Radeon X1600 XT re-appears in the
classification and rise in to the third place! GeForce 6600 GT and GeForce 7600 GS
(POV) have pretty the same performance here. Lastly, the GeForce 7300 GT confirms its
superiority vs the GeForce 7300 GS, and thanks to it s higher frequency witch give a nice performances boost about 73%.
Quake 4 - v1.2 7300gs/gt vs 7600gs/gt vs x1600xt
Quake 4 shows
to us that the GeForce 7600 GS from Asus makes equal game play
with model 7600 GT in 1280x1024 resolution.the GeForce 7600 standard GS, represented here by Point
Of View, shows a little fast capability than the good old GeForce 6600 GT, whereas the Radeon X1600 XT
get only the fourth place. Again the GeForce 7300 GT confirms here its good performance
with frame rate higher by 31% that the GeForce 7300 GS.
F.E.A.R. v1.05 7300gs/gt vs 7600gs/gt vs x1600xt
Note : the soft shades was deactivated here
as alwais the GeForce 7600 GT is the leader. GeForce 7600
GS from Asus proves to be 33% faster than the Point Of View similar card, the latter make
slightly better than the GeForce 6600 GT. The Radeon X1600 XT is not able to fight
here vs the GeForce 7600, whereas it take the lead over the GeForce 7300. the Radeon
X1600 is 28% faster than the GeForce 7300 GT. and again the GT version from eVGA is twice faster
than the GeForce 7300 GS.
Splinter Concealment Chaos Theory v1.05
the same as report F.E.A.R. with GeForce 7600 gt dominate all those test,the
Radeon X1600 XT has serious difficulty and the GeForce 7600 GS is extremely well
placed. The 7600 GS from Point Of View makes about the same as the GeForce 6600gT whereas the model from Asus, preoverclocked by the manufacturer, does
better! As for GeForce 7300 GT it is quite simply twice faster than GeForce 7300
GS.
Overclocking
During our tests we could overclock our 7300 GT from eVGA with 450 MHz for
the graphics processor,, and 400 MHz in the memory
from the 333 MHz by as default. Result of this
overclocking, was performances rise by almost 25% in Doom 3. At Asus,
the EN7600GS Silent shown less overclockability, fault probably of the passive cooling system and ambient temp. with point of View, the 7600 GS
reached the 450 MHz as core frequency and 425 MHz in the memory…
Conclusion
the GeForce 7300 WP has solids
performance! and it is Proposed with little less than 100 euro, the card is the first
graphics chip entered of this range and have eight pixels pipelines. in term of performances at
least wecan say that it is about half faster than the version
7300 GS and in many case twice faster! there is a difference in price between the card GeForce
7300 GS and 7300 gt, but the
7300 gt cost this defrence.
Another
new arrival in the GeForce family, GeForce 7600 GS! it is difficult
to say the right position of this model but it fall between the GeForce 7300 gt and theGeForce 7600 gt, . represented here by Point Of View, the card equalizes or even slightly higher than
the GeForce 6600 gt in performances terms. if the GeForce 7600 GS loses in
frequency, it gains with a number of units and more important the pixel shader unsit in
comparison to the 6600 gt. Besides the model from Asus which was preoverclocked allows the GeForce 7600 GS to exceed the GeForce 6600 gt . Last advantage
of the GeForce 7600 GS: the two card tested here was entirely quiet thanks to
their passive cooling! the default GeForce 7600 GS have 256 Mb of video memory and it pris proposed in the 130 euro range , and this isa little less than this GeForce 6600 gt M256 Mb for even identical performances. BR>In short, the new variations of NVIDIA come to supplement the
range, with the risk it is true to complex it, but the consumer is once not for
not frankly loser. However, one can only regret the great vacuum which reigns at
ATI! Radeon X1300 Pro had already sorrow to face GeForce 7300 GS, but it is
henceforth completely eclipsed by GeForce 7300 WP whereas vis-a-vis GeForce 7600
