IBM Corporation presented the new integrated controller soC (System On chip) 476FP. Its performance will be more than twice higher than its predecessor 464FP. According to associate , the processor frequency will be 1.6 GHz, and the energy consumption is only 1.6 watts. Complete specifications are not published; however, specialists concur that this solution will be as a whole similar to contemporary processors. 464FP is characterized by its architecture, it is the straight representative of powerPC processors , earlier used by Apple in computers.  476FP is positioned as a potential competitor to Intel atom processors for economical systems.
