The notebook segment in the crisis conditions proved to be the almost only sector which showed an increase in sales; therefore, all computer producers try to master this market sector. There are new niches in the mobile computers segment : smartbook on base of ARM- processors and netbook on base of Intel atom and CULV-notebook on base of core architecture processors .
VIA Company last week reported about its new netbook (NetNote). According to VIA concept , they will unite cheapness and netbook portability with functionality and multimedia possibilities of notebook in the light case with the screen diagonal from 10.2 to 12.1. The integrated chipset VIA VX855 will use the processors VIA C 7 M or Nano, supporting 800 MHz bus. The possibilities of this platform are enough in order to ensure video playback with 1080p quality. Actually, the bottleneck in this case will become the notebook screen, which supports resolution not more than 1366 X 768. On the external screen, the resolution increases to 1920 X 1440.  VIA proposes to partners the finished motherboard surfBoard models VT6549 and VT6552. They are equipped with 3G- modem and SIM- card slot, and here USB 2.0 ports are only two - this is less than in the majority of netbook.  Via company is ready to propose finished system turnkey.
