Yesterday ASUS company officially announced the notebook Asus M60J and G60J. Built on the mobile platform Intel calpella and will compose competition to the already presented models Toshiba qosmio x500 and MSI GT740, GT640.
The new models are based on the chipset PM55 express and processor Intel core i7 720QM (1,6 GHz) or 820QM (1,73 GHz). They can contain up to 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz and two hard disks with 250, 320 or 500 GB volume with the rotation speed 5400 or 7200 rp/min , it is possible to replace the optical drive DVD-RW with Blu-ray DVD combo.
There is a web- camera with 2 Mp resolution, memory devices , adapter gigabit ethernet, wireless 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR (optionally). The notebooks are equipped with expressCard expansion, VGA and HDMI, four USB, fireWire 1394 and eSATA. Six-cell battery ensures the prolonged time of off-line operation.
ASUS M60J weight is 3,3 kg, and it has a 16- inches display with 1366 X 768 pixels. The graphic system is NVIDIA GeForce GT240M with 1 GB memory. The notebook M60J adapts the technology AI touchMedia, which simplifies work with video, photographs and music.
ASUS G60J belongs to the series ROG (Republic of gamers). Its sizes are 395 X 277 X 44 mm, and mass is equal to 3,5 kg. The notebook has a 16- inches display 1366 X 768 with light-emitting diode , and also a keyboard with illumination. Asus G60J is equipped the video card GeForce GTX 260M with 1 GB memory and supports the technology express gate.
