Yesterday we reported new information about the processors zambezi, which will form the upper price segment of desktop AMD platform  in 2011. Official slide from AMD presentation, convinced us that zambezi processors will strongly differ from their predecessors. First, they will be released on 32 nm technology. In the second place, they will obtain up to eight cores. AMD report that the processors zambezi will have the socket AM3, without going deeply in the differences between the socket revisions . This can be estimated as a hint to the compatibility of zambezi processors with the existing motherboard. We can also estimate, when in the desktop segment the video card following generation will appear : 2011. Integrated chipset AMD will be satisfied by the support Of directX 10.1 prior to the end of 2010. Discrete graphical solutions even now support DirectX 11, but here 2011 will bring certain architectural changes for video chip AMD. Hybrid processor llano with the built-in graphic core will also support DirectX 11. Mobile platform AMD in 2011 will be also updated due to the release of ontario processors  with bobcat architecture , which will be released on 40 nm technology. The built-in graphic core will support DirectX 11, and the DDR3 memory controller . It is remarkable, that AMD for the first time decided to recognize the legitimacy of term netbook. Obviously, the company plans to release a mobile processor with the energy consumption level below 1 W . In 2010 AMD company  promises to begin the deliveries of processor models with bulldozer architecture  - in the desktop and server segments, in the latter case we deal with 32 nm processor interlagos with the core number from 12 to 16 pieces, and also about valencia processors with the number of core from 6 to 8 pieces. They will obtain the design concept socket g34 and Socket c32, respectively. Of course the models of desktop processors zambezi will also appear in 2010 as the models of hybrid processors llano and Bobcat. Official announcement will take place only in 2011.
