The South Korean company hynix semiconductor (Hynix), which is specialized in the release of memory, declared that its production, made according to 40- nm, past Intel certification .
The list of certified products includes the DDR3 SDRAM components with 2 Gbit density, the modules DDR3 SODIMM (Small outline dual In -line memory module) with 4 GB volume and DDR3 UDIMM (Un-buffered dual In -line memory module) with 2 GB volume, working at the frequency 1333 MHz with 1,5 v.
The maximum frequency, supported by the enumerated product, is equal to 1867 MHz, which corresponds to the capacity 3,7 GB/s. According to the hynix estimation , passage to DDR3 components 40- nm class improves capacity by more than 60% in comparison with the previous generation, made according to 50- nm standards. The energy consumption decreases by 40% .
hynix company already began the mass production of DDR3 memory chips with 2 Gbit density according to the new technological standards. Related Products :
