The processor core 2 Duo e8700 (3.5 GHz), is the fastest representative of wolfdale in the desktop segment. From one side, it was noted on Intel site and in the Price- list of Internet- stores. From other sides, Intel representatives recognized that the appearance of the corresponding information on their site was a result of error. Finally, there is no model core 2 Duo e8700.

Here is the result of CPU- Z validation:  Technically Intel can release the dual core processor wolfdale with 3.5 GHz frequency LGA 775 even tomorrow - frequency potential allows to release such a processor.
