Producers in pursuit of the thin case are ready to sacrifice many: no optical drive , substitute standard 2.5 HDD to the solid-state disk or hard disk with 1.8 inches .... As reports associate on CES 2010 exhibition Seagate companies will present the new family of mobile HDD momentus thin, which will preserve adherence to form factor 2.5 inches, but will obtain thinner case - its thickness will be reduced from standard 9.5 to the modest 7 mm. This will allow to preserve the more advantageous price combination , volume and disk productivity, utilized with the creation of hyperfine notebook. In the series momentus thin will be the HDD with 5400 or 7200 rp/min with serial ATA interface . | ||
