Interest in mobile devices on base of processors with ARM- architecture in recent years substantially changed the market. ARM holdings company secured the support from globalfoundries at the technological level in order to if necessary increase the release volumes of processors. NVIDIA Company sees in tegra processors with ARM- architecture one of the main profit sources . Finally, Intel company begins to actively move its processors with x86- architecture in the mobile segment in order to compose competition to ARM platform. However, ARM holding representative considers that Intel products are not sufficient. ABI research analysts consider that to 2013 ARM processors will begin to prevail in the segment of netbook, mobile Internet- devices and ultra-mobile PC. At present, 90% of devices are based on processors with x86- compatible architecture. Already in this year this value can be replaced to 75: 25 in favor of x86- compatible solutions. In 2012, in the opinion of analysts, x86- compatible platform will engage 60% of market, but in 2013 it will preserve only 40% of market. Different kind of mobile devices on base of ARM- processors will be developed within the next few years . | ||
