In recent years Toshiba company was concentrated on hard disks products for mobile segment and pocket devices, releasing HDD standard sizes 1.8 " even 2.5 ". However, in the server segment HDD with 2.5 standard size are actively used- at the given moment their portion in the corporate park composes 70%. Server HDD size 2.5" cannot be installed in notebook not only due to the interfaces - but also due to the case thickness increased to 15 mm. Compact sizes allow them to occupy up to 70% less place than 3.5" HDD, and the energy consumption level is reduced by half. After realizing the prospect of this market segment , Toshiba proposed the hard disks MBF, which combine volume up to 600 GB inclusively with SAS 6 Gbit/s interface in form factor 2.5".  Like the competitive decisions seagate, the HDD toshiba have the rotation speed 10 000 rp/min, which can be reduced at the idle time moments .
