The cooling system twin frozr II for the first time was noted on MSI r5870 lightning, but also was used on alternative versions radeon HD 5870 and Radeon HD 5850, which MSI showed on ceBIT 2010 exhibition.
Only today last video card was presented officially. Twin frozr II is characterized by four heat pipes and two fans standard size 80 mm, controlled according to the method of pulse-width modulation (PWM). From the four heat pipes two have the diameter of 8 mm. According to the producer, this cooling system reduces the video chip temperature by 12 degrees Celsius in comparison with the standard solutions.  The advanced 15- phase power system was not used in MSI r5870 Lightning. Defense class components as before are used. Capacitors with solid-state electrolyte, for example, have calculated life cycle not less than 10 years. Both video cards are equipped with two six-pin power connector.  MSI r5870 twin frozr II is equipped with 1 Gb GDDR- 5 memory and 1600 stream processors, default frequencies remained standard - 850/4800 MHz. MSI r5850 twin frozr II has 1440 stream processors and 1 Gb GDDR- 5 memory, default frequencies are equal to 725/4000 MHz. On the rear panel were arranged the ports DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort.
