Reduction in the demand for netbook in the first quarter this year resulted on : the portion of atom processors in the deliveries structure of  Intel company was reduced by 24% a quarter earlier to 20%. For processors producer  there is a good news in this, since on the release of  atom processors there is not much profit. However, the greatest demand for netbook enjoy the markets for developing countries, where the increase potential in the market in the natural expression is high, and buyer ability is low. We already reported that during June Intel can present not only the atom version with the support to DDR- 3 memory, but also for the first time propose the dual core processor atom for the mobile application. It is assumed that it will operate at the frequency of 1.5 GHz and possess  TDP level not more than 8.5 W. With the aid of dual core versions atom Intel company expects to warm up interest in the segment of netbook. According to the forecasts of some experts, the cost of netbook with the dual core processor atom and DDR- 3 memory can remain within the same price range as the cost of netbook on base of single core processor atom with DDR-2 memory.
