The Greek enthusiast sofos1990 decided to challenge the "American hegemony" in the extreme overclocking of the sixteen-core Skylake-X processors, and updated the world's absolute XTU record with a result of 4840 points. The processor Core i9-7960X for this had to be overclocked to 5750 MHz using liquid nitrogen.  The status of the standard thermal interface and other details of the experiment such as the number of active core are not specified, but the author of the record complains about the low efficiency of the system.
