As it was planned, Intel company presented several new models atom and pair of associated platforms.
Today were presented the single core processors atom n455 (1.66 GHz) and Atom n475 (1.83 GHz), the built-in memory controller is capable of working with DDR3. Both processors cost as much as predecessors, which remain in the Price- list together with the new CPU: $64 for the model with 1.66 GHz frequency and $75 for the model with 1.83 GHz frequency.
The TDP level of both models is equal to 6.5 W, new processors are released on 45 nm technology, as predecessors. They support the technology hyper-Threading and simultaneously process two threads. In three weeks the company promises to present the desktop processors atom d525 (1.8 GHz) and Atom d425 (1.8 GHz). The first of them is the dual core; therefore, its TDP level is equal to 8.5 W, whereas Atom d425 has TDP not more than 6.5 W. Netbook on base of atom processors, which support DDR3 will appear on the market not later than the middle of the fourth quarter.
The dual core processor atom n550 (1.5 GHz) will be presented on the following week. According to to Intel, the increase from the passage to two cores will feel multitask applications, and in games.
Today Intel also presented the standard platform canoe lake, which create on base of existing processor atom netbook with the case thickness not more than 14 mm. such netbook can be equipped with both single core version atom and with dual core.
In the beginning of 2011 Intel promise to present the platform oak trail, which will be used for creating thin netbook and plane-table computers. Being the successor Of moorestown, it will reduce the energy consumption level by 50%. Related Products :
