The American company seaMicro designed and mastered the production of the server system SM1000, which in the case size 10U places 64 compact motherboard with eight processors atom z530 (1.6 GHz) for each. Additional controllers ensure support to 64 hard disks with serial ATA interface, 64 gigabit net ports or 16 net ports with 10 Gbit capacity. To each processor, there are up to 2 Gb DDR2 memory. The processors communicate by interface with the capacity of 1.28 terabits per second between themselves.  The completely configured system cost $139 000 and consumes not more than 2 kW. On the statements of producer, this server ensures speed equal with solutions on base of 32 nm xeon processors, but occupies four times fewer place and consumes four times less than electric power. SM1000 Deliveries will begin in the following month. If necessary atom processors can be substituted with processors with ARM- architecture. Related Products : | ||
