AMD representatives at the last current quarterly conference confirmed that the new generation of graphical solutions with directX 11 support will be released before the end of year. With the production of video chip generation southern islands will be used 40 nm technical process. TSMC and Globalfoundries will jump over 32 nm technical process to design the passage from 40 nm to 28 nm technology. AMD and NVIDIA company can obtain 28 nm video chip from their technological partners not earlier than the end of 2011. The 28 nm microcircuits models will be obtained in this year, but it will be impossible to fix the mass production of video chip on the corresponding technology to the second-half of 2011. It is assumed that AMD will rely simultaneously on TSMC and Globalfoundries, although recently AMD representatives emphasized that they are assembled to entrust Globalfoundries the release of its own video chip.
