In the beginning of January, we reported about crucial intentions to release the SSD series realSSD c300 with SATA-600 interface. Devices are produced not only in traditional form factor 2.5, but also in more compact 1.8. The latter form was noted in Japanese retail on this week. If 2.5 SSD can be revealed in the advanced desktop system, 1.8 SSD are frequently encountered in multimedia players, external disk and hyperfine notebook. In netbook, they are prescribed rarely.  1.8 inch SSD is proposed in three models with 64 Gb, 128 Gb and 256 Gb volume. All three ensure the transmission speed on reading operations to 355 Mbyte(s)/s, and here writing speed depends on the SSD volume: for the model with 256 Gb volume, it is equal to 215 Mbyte(s)/s, for the model with 128 Gb volume it is equal to 140 Mbyte(s)/s, and the low-end SSD with 64 Gb volume is satisfied by the speed of 75 Mbyte(s)/s.  In Japan the low-end SSD series cost $183, elder is evaluated at $752. The south bridge AMD SB850 already ensures the native support of six ports SATA-600, chipset Intel sixth series will propose the support of two ports SATA-600 in the beginning of following year.
