In the beginning of this month we reported about two video cards radeon HD 5770 from XFX productions, which has the one slot cooling system. Generally the decrease of overall cooler dimensions reduce its productivity and raise the noise level , but XFX representatives mention about a reverse tendency. The large surface of radiator, the dimensions of unique copper base which are 41 x 28 mm, is augmented by three large heat pipes , located under the radiator. As a result, the total surface of heat pipes up to 15% exceeds the same for HD 5770 with two-slot cooler .  The increased air flow is combined with the decreased noise level . The comparison of devices characteristics showed that XFX radeon HD 5770 with the one slot cooler produces 23,5 dB less noise than Radeon HD 5770 with standard two-slot cooler , and also 13,5 dB less than Radeon HD 5770 with the two-slot cooler and channel radiator.
