On the exhibition computex 2010 in the beginning of June VIA company demonstrated the prototype of dual core processor nano, which was released on 65 nm technology and operated at 1.6 GHz frequency. The announcement of series versions was planned at the end of year, after passage to the more advanced production technology.
As report associate, VIA company which received in the first half-year clean loss in size of $45 ml expects to decrease the losses after the release of dual core processors nano, which will be used in netbook. They will be released by TSMC company on 40 nm technology, beginning from the fourth quarter this year. Clock frequencies will reach 2 GHz, but the energy consumption level will not exceed 20 W. Two megas-byte cache in the second level will be coupled by 1333 MHz bus.
TSMC company will release chipset VX1000 and VN11 for VIA . The last chipset will support DirectX 11, and company to it will compose the four core processors VIA, which will be released to the end of 2011.
