In the events Flash Memory , Summit organization SATA-IO, which develop  Serial ATA interface standard , introduced a new type of solid-state drives - µSSD.  This drive will be a single chip, made in the surface mount BGA (Ball grid array), and can be soldered directly on the motherboard, or installed in a compact device, such as tablets.  Development of µSSD standard was supported by   Samsung, SanDisk and Toshiba companies.  SanDisk managed to present a year ago first small  drive iSSD, made in the case measuring 20 x 16 x 1.85 mm and 8 to 128 GB volume.
A year ago, iSSD performance were limited to 160 MB / s sequential read and 100MB / s writes. Â According to a new press release , SanDisk was able to significantly increase the capacity of drive sequential read - up to 450 MB / s in write operations . Related Products :
