Until the end of this year, Intel promised to present the first joint development, which were made after the acquisition of McAfee, which specializes in creating anti-virus software. Initially it was assumed that the proposed technology McAfee anti-virus protection to low level will be build on the existing instruction set supported by Intel processors.
On IDF Fall 2011 enigmatic design McAfee finally got its own name - DeepSAFE . The technology is based on the hardware capabilities of Intel Core i3/5/7 series without specifying any generation. The first software solution with support for McAfee DeepSAFE will hit the market in the end of the year, we can assume that it will be supported by the current generation of processors Sandy Bridge.
In the future, Intel and McAfee plan to present range of solutions covering different market segments - from embedded devices to cloud environments. DeepSAFE can detect unknown threats antivirus, which is an advantage compared to many on the market anti-virus solutions.
