At IDF 2011 Intel representatives not only reported about the theoretical part, but also demonstrated a working Ivy Bridge generation processor.
It is expected that the number of transistors in the transition from Sandy Bridge to Ivy Bridge will increase from 1.16 to 1.48 billion , this increase will improve the graphics system. There will be also some changes in the power management system .
Sample of Haswell processor generation were also demonstrated at IDF 2011. Haswell processors will be also released on 22 nm technology, but will have more architectural innovations than Ivy Bridge. Their release is scheduled for 2013. Related Products :
