Many SSD manufacturers , following the market trends, have been producing 2.5-inch drives, in turn, some remain loyal to 3.5 inch form factor. Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Manufacturer recently announced the delivery of a large batch of its 3.5-inch solid state drive Ultrastar SSD400S to Hewlett-Packard company. These drives have been created in conjunction with Intel, and are designed specifically for data storage systems. To meet the high standards referred to SSD, Hitachi engineers have developed a number of technologies aimed at - improving the speed and reliability of drives. Reading and writing to high-quality NAND-flash storage is made at a speed of 516 Mb / s and 458 Mb / s, respectively, the transfer of information is made through the interface SAS 6 Gb / sec. As mentioned, HP has signed a contract to supply SSD400S party. They will be placed in file servers 3Par F-Class T-Class and the new P10000 V-Class, designed for commercial use and application of cloud storage. | ||
