Intel will release three processors LGA 2011 for desktop systems. Two of them will have six cores and a maximum multiplier 57x, and the third will receive only four cores and the ability to raise the multiplier to 45x.
In November the range of processors Sandy Bridge-E will be limited to only the two older models: Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition with six cores, 15 MB third-level cache, a free multiplier and the frequency range 3.3-3.9 GHz and Core i7-3930K with the same number of cores, but reduced to 12 MB cache volume in the third level and frequency range 3.2-3.8 GHz. The first processor is priced at $ 999, second - $ 583.
The reason for Core i7-3820 delay, which should have all four cores and 10MB of cache in the third level, lies in the internal competition with the recently released Core i7-2700K.
