When gecube company showed in CeBIT 2007 its two-chip version radeon x1650 XT, many readers were impressed by the absence of special connector for data exchange . But here similar concept video card on the base of two chips radeon x1950 pro has been already for long time ago demonstrated by sapphire company - this product was called Radeon x1950 pro dual, and yesterday it was officially announced . In other words, the series product will appear in stores. Price will be determined nearer the end of month, we should expect  $350-400, but under contemporary conditions this price is a bit expensive . The demo system, which is motherboard sapphire on the base of chipset AMD RD580 and two video card radeon x1950 pro dual, are connected with the pair of flexible bridges. We did not publish these photographs, until we obtain the necessary explanations from sapphire company representatives . As you can see, two two-chip video card are connected by flexible bridges. It would seem, this is a pure form quad crossfire. It would be for sure desirable to learn, what increase in speed give this combination, and is there any advantage over two video card radeon x1950 XT. Unfortunately, There is no answer to these questions.  AMD still did not inject the support Of quad crossfire at drivers level  and bridges in the photograph were put on only for demonstration purposes. German promise, that the corresponding drivers with the support Of quad crossfire will be released through several weeks. Accordingly, this video card is useful  to propose the support Of crossfire to the owners of motherboard with one PCI express x16. Since Radeon x1950 pro dual already obtained status series product, for sure soon will appear results of independent tests and data about price of this uncommon video card, and then we will be able to make conclusions about its reliability.
