Chip integrated platform Deccan, were to be made on 28 nm technology in GlobalFoundries factories. After problems with the development of 32nm process technology and the fear that the situation will be repeated again, AMD had to decide to end further work on Deccan to minimize expected losses. In the short term, AMD plans to cancel the service of GlobalFoundries to produce some 28 nm products, and to revert to TSMC. In this case, the transfer of production, as well as build the necessary production volumes and subsequent implementation of processors, AMD and TSMC will take at least a year. It should be noted that at the same time, Intel will increase its production of 22nm solutions, which will begin in the first quarter 2012.
