Status of the largest computer manufacturer in the world is reserved by HP for many years. Until now, for the second and third places in the rankings, with varying success are fighting Dell and Acer.
The most dynamic player on the market of finished computers this year was the Chinese company Lenovo. Brand is very popular in homeland, but the leadership of Lenovo is going to actively explore other markets, which were acquired by NEC and Medion. IHS iSuppli reported , in the third quarter 2011 Lenovo managed to reach second place in the ranking of OEMs with output volume 12.5 million shares. In the previous quarter, the company has set no more than 10.9 million computers. Compared with the third quarter 2010 shipments of computers rose for Lenovo by 24.8%.
Lenovo's market share for the quarter increased from 12.8% to 13.9%. HP is not too far - it controls 18% of the market, ranking in the first place. Note that HP market leader show low result in increased sales for the third quarter with 5.9% for Dell this figure was even lower (1.3%), and the leader of increasing sales dynamics in general is Asus company (+36% for the quarter and 27 1% per year).
