Gigabyte company on its Chinese site posted a press release stating about the removal of Motherboard GA-X79-UD3, GA-X79-UD5 and G1.Assassin 2 due to problems with overheating and subsequent failure of the power components in power system . Video describing a similar case posted in YouTube .
As temporary solution Gigabyte offers owners of these motherboard to upgrade the BIOS to version F7. This will result in limit of CPU overclocking , but will preserve the life of the motherboard.  Active overclockers, can wait for a new motherboard revision - it will be released tentatively in February next year. Related Products : | ||
