It is already known that carbon nano-tubes possess sufficiently high thermal conductivity, which allow to rapidly remove heat- in cooling systems. Until now carbon nano-tubes was used predominantly in thermal-pastes; however, processor cooler in the nearest future can have bases, executed with the use of carbon nano-tubes.
The appropriate product development was demonstrated in CeBIT 2007 by OCZ technology company . Processor cooler hydroJet is uncommon construction uses the technology waycool, which implies to the heat transfer from carbonic base to copper radiators with mediation liquid, which circulates inside the cooler . It should be noted that basic circulation occurs due to the convection, the built-in cooler base pump has the small power (0,5 W) and low performance.
The radiators return heat- in the atmosphere through special cuts in the upper part of cooler .
On the statements of producer, this cooler is capable to cool processors with level TDP up to 400 W. It is clear that such processors does not exist, and even extreme overclock does reach such high heat emission value. Such cooler will have high weight and price; however, nothing was communicated about its characteristics. The announcement time OF OCZ hydroJet is also not defined. Related Products :
