Mushkin company introduced the SSD expansion card with PCI Express x8 interface, called King Scorpion. The solution is based on SandForce controllers SF-2281 and will be available in versions with capacity from 240 to 1920 GB.
The company is not in a hurry to call the cost of storage, but mentions that, like other similar drives, King Scorpion is a RAID-array of multiple SSD. Curiously, built-in RAID controller allows the user to choose the mode in which the drives will function (available 0, 1, 5 and 10). Moreover, King Scorpion has the ability to upgrade, for example, to increase the volume.
