The increased longevity of memory type MLC-HET will enable Intel to use it in a solid-state drives, market-oriented enterprise solutions.
In May should appear Ramsdale (Intel 720), which will combine the 25-nm MLC memory PCI Express interface. Data capacity are expected to reach 400 and 800 GB. In the second quarter will be also presented drives Maple Crest, which will apply to Intel 300, which in some cases involves a combination of design version 2.5 "Interface Serial ATA. They will also use 25-nm memory devices such as MLC.
In the third quarter will be released drives Intel series King Crest, which will be used for 20 nm memory devices such as MLC.
In the fourth quarter will be released just three series of solid-state drives Intel. In the series Taylorsville (Intel 700) will enter models from 100 to 800 GB SATA-600 interface. In Intel 300 series, there will be two new series - Jay Crest and Oak Crest.
In the first quarter 2013, Intel will release SSDs Wolfsville, the capacity will reach 1.6 terabytes. They will use 20 nm memory devices such as MLC, as well as representatives of King Crest series. The design of 2.5 "will coexist with SATA-600 interface.
