MSI reported about the technology SuperRAID, used in gaming notebooks, GT70 and GE70 .The notebook is equipped with a hard drive WD Scorpio Black 500GB, which serves as the primary data store, and thus module SuperRAID. The module is a board with RAID-controller and two slots mSATA 6 Gb / s, each is set to SSD SanDisk U100 64GB. The SSD is characterized by the reading speed 440 MB / s write 220 MB / s, but in a RAID 0 array pattern is much better. Utility HDTune Pro 5.00 showed the following results when reading from SSD: maximum speed - 964.7 MB / s, average speed - 928.6 MB / s, the minimum rate - 843.3 MB / s. Average access time is equal to 0.368 ms, CPU - 9.2%. Module SuperRAID was bootable and contained the OS itself and programs. According to the manufacturer, such data rates can be considered a record for a gaming notebook. | ||
