The graphics cards Radeon HD 6900 series allows enthusiasts to easily convert the Radeon HD 6950 graphics card in the older Radeon HD 6970 by replacing the BIOS firmware.   Radeon HD 7900 Cards is based on the GPU, called Tahiti, that exists in versions XT and Pro.  In the first case, all 32 multiprocessor are active, each has 64 stream processors and four texture units, and thus, Tahiti XT, which underlies the Radeon HD 7970 combines the 2048 stream processors and 128 texture units. In Tahiti Pro (Radeon HD 7950)  4 multiprocessor are off and the number of functional elements in proportion decreased: 1792 stream processors and 112 texture units. A BIOS microcode rewrite of this product to Radeon HD 7970 allowed to turn back into operation four missing multiprocessor, which is confirmed by the utility GPU-Z and some benchmarks (using a system with a processor AMD A8-3870K and 4GB DDR3 memory .) Moreover, GPU was capable of working at a frequency of 1125 MHz memory speed was raised to 1575 MHz (6300 MHz QDR). A795 Fire Hurricane is not officially available outside China. Related Products :
