Despite the fact that netbooks have lost their popularity, and most manufacturers have left the market in search of more promising niches, Acer and ASUS plans to release new models of mobile PCs with this type. At the heart of upcoming netbooks they will use the updated Intel Atom N2600 processor and Atom N2800, which are characterized by the increased speed and should be released late in the third quarter.
Netbooks will run on Windows 8 Operating System, there will be also a model but with the operating system Tizen, which is based on Linux and descendant of MeeGo and LiMo projects. The main developers are Tizen Intel, ASUS, Acer and Samsung.
The wave of speculative demand for netbooks has receded, but analysts say the interest in these devices is stored in the markets of developing countries. Acer and ASUS hope to annually export more than 3.5 million netbooks.
