HTC won the case in the High Court in London, initiated by apple company. Apple claims the four patents related to: technology, or multi-multi-touch (EP2098948), unlock the touch screen (EP1964022), navigate to the image gallery (EP2059868), switch the language on the touch keypad (EP1168859).
Judge Christopher Floyd (Christopher Floyd) ruled that the patent is to unlock the touch screen was not violated because the technology was implemented in HTC devices in 2004 (the system with the function of Neonode N1 Right sweep to unlock), one year before filing Apple patent, and for seven years prior to the registration of this document. The remaining patents can not be applied to the manufacturer, as listed in these technologies are a software solution and part of the operating system Android.
Very soon, Apple will have a chance for revenge - until the end of 2012 the company will meet in the German court in a similar case.
