Previously, users have complained that the new smartphones bend even when worn in the pocket because of too thin aluminum enclosure.
As reported by Bloomberg edition, Solvay SA will supply on request Apple polyetheretherketone (PEEK), a thermoplastic polymer and colorless, wherein strength, hardness and resistance to high temperatures. It is used in medicine, as well as the automotive and aerospace industries. Apple is going to use this polymer to spray inside the body iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to increase the strength.
Bloomberg journalists asked for comments to the official representatives of Apple and Solvay SA, but they refused to give any comments on the matter. This is not surprising, since Apple has publicly denied that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is easy to deform.
