Qualcomm company was among those TSMC customers, who tend to suffer from a shortage of production capacity, for 28 nm products. Qualcomm even admitted that it does not rule out taking control of someone's production capacity. According to associate , Qualcomm and Apple tried to offer TSMC a billion dollars for the right of priority of supply circuits. If for Qualcomm everything is clear, the interest of Apple in this idea may indicate a desire to reduce its dependence on Samsung, with whom relations steadily deteriorated.
