After a rather long silence about the successor of hybrid processors Trinity, codename Richland , associate once again spoke about the future APU. At this time the attention went to the configuration of the graphics processors.
Model line A6, marked with letter K, which points to the unlocked multiplier, will receive two processing cores, an integrated graphics adapter with 192 shader processors and 1MB cache in the second level. APU supports a combination of Dual Graphics, a mechanism for dynamic overclocking Turbo Core and will be compatible with Socket FM2.
Junior representative Richland, referring to the range A4, also has two cores, 1 MB L2 cache, and compatibility with Socket FM2. However, in this case the APU has only 128 stream processors, and do not support Dual Graphics.
Heat dissipation in both processors is at 65 watts. Note that the leading next generation APU (line A10 and A8) can have up to 384 stream processors. Also, Richland (except line A4) can offer support for Blu-ray 3D at the hardware level.
Both of these processors will be released in the first half 2013, just before Computex exhibition .
