U.S. company Monster Digital has expanded range of solid state drives to a new series called Daytona. Products in this series are designed for use in thin and ultra-thin notebooks, because their thickness is only 7 mm.
The composition of Daytona Series includes four models, which amount to 90, 120, 240 and 480 GB. All SSD supports SATA 6 Gb / s. The speed parameters are (550 MB / s read and 515 MB / s write) and write performance with random access 4KB blocks - 60,000 IOPS.
According to the manufacturer, the drives are encrypted by AES algorithm with a key length of 256 bits and feature TRIM.
SSD Monster Digital Daytona will be available in late September, the 90 GB model is priced at $ 100, 120GB - $ 110 240GB - $ 230, 480 GB - $ 480.
