Edisonville platform will be the 22-nanometer chips Avoton with integrated controllers SATA (four ports SATA-II, two-port SATA-III), Ethernet and USB (Centerton chips require external controllers to support these interfaces).
The new platform will have a much better performance per watt compared to Centerton or even Haswell . Similarly to its predecessors, the processors Avoton will have 16 lines PCI Express 2.0, and will support interface LPC, SPI, SMBus, UART. Dual-channel DDR3 memory will work with DDR3-1600 and DDR3L-1600.
Part of SoC processor will carry two to eight cores. 1 MB Cache memory would be shared between each pair of cores. Thus, the eight-core chip will have 4 MB of cache. Besides chips will support the extraordinary response teams (out-of-order), and support Turbo Boost, which the maximum operating frequency for the most productive Avoton will reach 2.7 GHz (without Turbo Boost - 2,4 GHz) . Power consumption of new products will be in the range of 5-20 w .
Edisonville platform will be released in the second half of 2013.
